Michael R. Culler, Jr. graduated from Furman University in 1982 and the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1989. He served as Chief Public Defender for Orangeburg County from 1991 through 2008 when he left to establish a private practice. Mr. Culler is a member of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (SCACDL) as well as the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association. He served on the board of SCACDL from 1998 until 2006 and was appointed first by Governor Hodges and later by Governor Sanford to serve on the South Carolina Commission on Indigent Defense. His goal is to be sure all clients are aware of all options available and to help them reach the best outcome for their case. It is about listening and service.
